WASP introduces DeltaWASP 20 40 Turbo2 3D printer for fast and accurate object creation

Italy-based WASP (World’s Advanced Saving Project) has introduced the DeltaWASP 20 40 Turbo2 3D printer for the fast and accurate creation of objects up to Ø20 x 40 cm in virtually any filament.

The DeltaWASP 20 40 Turbo2 is claimed to be the fastest delta 3D printer available, achieving printing speeds up to 50 mm/s and traveling speeds up to 100 mm/s. Furthermore, it affords high levels of accuracy across the majority of filaments, namely ABS, ABS+PC, Flex, nylon, nylon+carbon, PETG, PLA, polypropylene and TPU.

There are two versions of the DeltaWASP 20 40 Turbo2, featuring either a Spitfire Red extruder with a Spitfire low-temperature (LT) cartridge and 0.4 mm diameter steel nozzle or a Zen Dual extruder with two Zen low-temperature (LT) cartridges and a 0.4 mm diameter steel nozzle.

The version with the Spitfire Red extruder is also compatible with the Clay Kit 2.0, which comprises a liquid deposit modelling (LDM) clay extruder for fluid dense and ceramic materials and three-liter tank that holds sufficient material for medium-sized prints.

The DeltaWASP 20 40 Turbo2 supersedes the DeltaWASP 20 40 Turbo 3D printer and improvements include:

  • an industrial quality, 32-bit board with WIFI module (compatible with industry 4.0), capable of supporting high-power extruders;
  • a carriage sliding system on bearings for increased speed and accuracy;
  • increased insulation of the print chamber for reaching temperatures conducive to the fast 3D printing of technical materials; and
  • a cooling system for the engine and board, facilitating superior performance.
