UNIZ to launch two industrial stereolithography printers and uni-directional peel technology at CES 2018

The zSLTV23 LCD stereolithography (SLA) 3D printer

USA-based UNIZ Technology (UNIZ) is to launch its first two industrial stereolithography (SLA) printers and uni-directional peel (UDP) technology at CES 2018, taking place on January 9-12, in Las Vegas, USA.

The printers are called zSLTV15 and zSLTV23. Both incorporate UDP technology, said to minimize the peel time of the conventional SLA layering process and thus afford exceptionally fast printing speeds.

The zSLTV15 is the smaller of the printers, affording a 315 x 180 x 412 mm build area. Furthermore, it offers an 86 μm X, Y resolution and 2,800 cc/hr for 200 mm/hr thin walls printing speed. It is capable of building 20 full-arch dental models in less than five minutes.

The zSLTV23 has a 521 x 293 x 651 mm build area, a 136 μm X, Y resolution and 7,000 cc/hr for 200 mm/hr thin walls printing speed. It is claimed to be the fastest SLA printer developed.

Uniz also intends to debut an LCD SLA printer for professional users called SLASH PRO. It is described as a ‘professional version’ of the company’s original SLASH printer, offering the same technical specifications but twice the build area. It is capable of building the outsole of an adult-sized shoe in under an hour.
