Sciaky joins Siemens PLM Solution Partner program as software and technology partner

The 110 electron beam additive manufacturing (EBAM) system

Sciaky—a USA-based manufacturer of metal additive manufacturing (AM) systems and subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI)—has announced that it is joining the Siemens PLM Solution program as a software and technology partner. Specifically, Sciaky is adopting product lifecycle management (PLM) software from Siemens PLM Software to support its electron beam additive manufacturing (EBAM) technology.

Siemens PLM Software is a USA-based subsidiary of German conglomerate Siemens and global provider of software solutions intended to drive industry’s digital transformation.

Sciaky expects to further penetrate the metal 3D printing market through Siemens’s:

  • NX computer aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD, CAM and CAE) software; and
  • NX Nastran finite element analysis (FEA) solver for structural simulation.

Bob Phillips, vice president (VP) of marketing at Sciaky, said: ‘Sciaky is excited to join Siemens PLM Software’s partner community. The strength of our two organizations working together will deliver significant value to our customers.’

Vynce Paradise, director of advanced part manufacturing at Siemens PLM Software, further commented: ‘Siemens PLM Software is committed to creating partnerships that can add value to the business of our customers. We are pleased to work with Sciaky as they use the latest multi-axis deposition technology we have developed within NX software to support their EBAM 3D metal printing systems.’
