DWS and Techniplas enter open innovation program partnership

DWS—an Italian producer of professional stereolithography (SLA) 3D printers and materials—and Techniplas, a USA-based manufacturer of critical components for the energy and mobility industries, have entered a partnership that sees DWS’s entire product portfolio being brought to the open innovation program at Techniplas’s Additive Manufacturing Innovation Center in Ventura, California.

The open innovation program aims to foster partnerships such as this, that deliver benefits gained from the sharing of technologies and expertise, thus creating new opportunities for growth in the 3D printing and additive manufacturing (AM). Having already attracted a number of 3D printing and AM companies, the program is described as ‘fast becoming a preeminent hub for Industry 4.0 collaboration’.

We have found a partner that can open up completely new markets for us and help us mainstream the use of our digital manufacturing solutions within the automotive industry and beyond. We're proud to be a member of this fantastic program.’
