Autonomous Manufacturing—a UK-based developer of an enterprise cloud software that automates production for industrial 3D printing using artificial intelligence (AI)—is one of 14 winners of Impact Growth, a program that seeks to identify and reward some of the most promising startups around the globe.

Launched in 2016, Impact Growth is run by the Spanish startup accelerator Impact Accelerator and has received 3.6 million EUR in funding for its initial phase from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 program. A jury of reputable experts rigorously selects a number of ‘deserving’ startups to be awarded a minimum of 100,000 EUR (114,000 USD) in equity-free funding as well as free training and mentoring.

Autonomous Manufacturing participated in the first round of Impact Growth 2017, competing against more than 1,900 applicants from 60 countries. A second and last round to select a further 14 startups is launching on September 5, 2017.

In line with the program's objectives, Autonomous Manufacturing intends to use the award to drive the next stage of development for its RP Platform software as well as extend its reach in global markets.

Keyvan Karimi, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Autonomous Manufacturing, commented: ‘We’re honored by the confidence shown in both our product and the industrial 3D printing sector as a whole. It’s clear that what was previously seen as a niche technology is now gaining currency across the whole business world, with more and more companies willing to invest time and money in its evolution.

‘The whole RP Platform team are incredibly excited about the possibilities this prize has opened up and plans are already in place to start expanding our platform’s capabilities and the level of support we’re able to offer our users.’
