Netherlands-based Additive Industries has appointed seasoned 3D printing executive Bart Leferink to head up channel partner sales and achieve global coverage for its industrial metal additive manufacturing (AM) systems.
Additive Industries intends to build a network of agents that accelerate the implementation of its MetalFAB1 and MetalFAB1 Process Development & Application Tool in critical industries, including aerospace, automotive and medical devices. This is said to be another important step in the company’s global expansion strategy, following on from the recent opening of its California Process and Application Development Center in North America.
The objective is to attract and support leading agents in industrial capital investment goods. Leferink has been hired to lead the way, initially focusing on Europe and North America, followed by Asia in 2018.
Prior to joining Additive Industries, Leferink held the post of channel director at Prodways—a France-based manufacturer of industrial and professional 3D printing machines, materials and product services. Moreover, he possesses more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience, specifically in setting up new business channels.
Commenting on his new role, Leferink said: ‘I’ve spent most of my career driving the go-to-market of high quality systems and solutions in professional markets. I am very excited to join the fast-growing team of Additive Industries and contribute to expansion of the global installed base of its MetalFAB1 industrial additive manufacturing systems.’
